What am I getting myself into?
She questioned her own ability to even think as a normal person. Her emotions and mind fight in their own civil war. Ripping each other to pieces until unrecognizable shreds are all that remain.
You know better.
Her mind repeated the phrase continuously. Yet, his smile flooded her mind and his flirtatious attitude pulled at the corners of her lips. He may have been a few years younger than her, but the heart knew no age.
Age isn't the only thing.
She told herself that if it were just the age it wouldn't matter. But in this case, she was treading on unknown land, someone else's land.
Serious though is going to be required.
She knew she would have to think everything over, and the day would come when the answer to her little problem would be obvious. Until that day, better to stay away.
